Tall Timbers - McKenzie Lake

Banner.png

The Journey Begins.

Tall Timbers is entering a new chapter bringing new life to an older Northwoods idea. This is a place where less is more, and where everything doesn’t need to be perfect from day one to be worth returning to. As the property evolves, updates will be made thoughtfully, with flexibility to grow through renovation, continued rentals, or potential condo-style ownership. Those who join early gain access to one of the premier lakes in Burnett and Washburn Counties at a fraction of the cost and responsibility of traditional lake ownership while becoming part of a small community shaping what comes next.

Familiar dock. Familiar faces.
Built in the 1960s, Tall Timbers is a traditional Northwoods lakeside property shaped around simple cabins, familiar docks, and a slower pace of life. Much of the original character remains, including screen porches and a walkable connection to the water, with practical updates scheduled to be made over time to maintain comfort while preserving the feel that brings people back year after year.

A Premier Lake Setting
Tall Timbers sits on a top-tier lake with approximately 200+ feet of sandy shoreline, elevated views, and steps down to the water. Boat slips are available, days revolve around swimming and time on the lake, and evenings naturally gather near the fire. The setting is open, quiet, and designed to let the lake and land take center stage.

A Small Seasonal Community
Tall Timbers is intentionally limited in size, three seasonal and two year round cabins are available for rent. It’s a place for families and individuals who value simplicity, return visits, and a shared sense of place. The property will continue to evolve over time, and those who join now become part of a close-knit lakeside community as the next chapter takes shape.
